sample: GRammar is an arte of speaking wel to latine grammarians in latine. There are two parts of Grammar; Ætimologie, and Syntaxe. Ætimologie, is the first part of Grammar which declareth the properties of singular words. A word is a note whereby a thing is called. It is made of a syllable. A syllable is a full or perfect sound in a word: as for example, Dos, flos: so likewise in Dominus there are three syllables, Do-mi-nus. (a1r)
